1. Executive Summary

This pre-scope outlines the development plan for a comprehensive platform including a website and mobile applications (Android and iOS) for the sale of demo cars across multiple showrooms in India. This project includes the design and development of an automated system that allows car showrooms to manage their listings, track user engagement, and handle payment processing for lead generation. Additionally, the scope covers revamping the outdated Yasmar website with a more modern and minimalistic design. The final scope will be provided after validation of this pre-scope document.

2. Project Objectives

  1. Develop a Secure, Scalable Platform:
    • The project aims to develop a robust, secure, and scalable web application alongside Android and iOS mobile applications to facilitate demo car sales from various showrooms across India. The platform will offer an intuitive and user-friendly experience across devices.
  2. Automate Core Processes:
    • The platform will automate key business processes, including the creation of car listings, lead generation, payment tracking, and dealer access management. It will streamline operations, reducing manual effort for both clients and dealers.
  3. Implement Role-Based Access Control:
    • Different user roles (Super Admin, Dealers, and Buyers) will have controlled access to functionalities relevant to their role, ensuring data security and efficient management of their tasks.
  4. Payment Management System:
    • A comprehensive payment management system will be implemented to track outstanding payments from dealers. The system will automatically revoke access for non-paying dealers and reactivate accounts once payments are cleared.
  5. User Engagement Tracking and Lead Management:
    • The platform will track user interactions (e.g., clicks on car listings) and provide lead generation data to dealers, including user details like phone number and interest in specific models. This data will help dealers personalize follow-ups and listings based on customer preferences.

3. User Roles and Core Functionalities

  1. Super Admin:
    • Full management of car showroom accounts and user access.
    • Capabilities to configure system settings and moderate content.
    • Access to platform-wide analytics and reporting, providing insights on lead generation, listing performance, and dealer activity.
  2. Dealers:
    • Ability to create, manage, and update demo car listings through an intuitive interface.
    • Access to performance metrics, including data on how many users have clicked on listings and what car models, colors, and years were viewed.
    • A comprehensive dashboard to track leads, performance metrics, outstanding bills, and initiate payments.
    • Detailed lead data will be shared with dealers, allowing them to gauge user interest in their vehicles and tailor future marketing efforts.
  3. Buyers:
    • Account creation and management through a secure OTP-based login system using their phone numbers.
    • Ability to browse car listings but must log in to view detailed information on the listings.
    • Features to schedule test drives and submit inquiries directly to dealers through the platform.

4. Key Features

  1. User and Dealer Management:
    • Secure authentication via OTP for all users, ensuring that access to sensitive listing information is restricted to verified users.
    • Dealers will be able to manage their profiles and listings, while admins can manage user permissions and platform-wide content.
  2. Demo Car Listing Management:
    • A user-friendly interface for dealers to upload car details, including make, model, mileage, features, and condition.
    • Options to upload photos and videos for better listing presentation.
    • Automatic notifications for dealers when leads are generated through user interaction with their listings.
  3. Lead Tracking and Management:
    • Tracking of logged-in user interactions, including clicks on listings and details like car model, year, make, and color.
    • Dealers will receive detailed lead reports with phone numbers and user interest to help personalize follow-up communication and enhance sales strategies.
    • Data-driven insights will allow dealers to optimize their listings and marketing approaches based on customer preferences.
  4. Payment Management:
    • An integrated dashboard for dealers to view outstanding payments, access their billing history, and make payments through a secure system.
    • Automated revocation of access for dealers who do not settle their payments on time. The system will offer easy reactivation once payments are made.
  5. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Dealers will have access to a custom dashboard displaying performance metrics such as leads generated, click-through rates, and listing engagement.
    • Admins will have full access to analytics to monitor system performance, user activity, and dealer engagement.
  6. Mobile Applications:
    • Android and iOS applications will be developed with the same features as the web platform, ensuring seamless cross-platform functionality.
    • The apps will mirror the web platform’s structure, offering a mobile-optimized user experience.

5. Technical Specifications

  1. Frontend:
    • Website: React.js for a responsive and dynamic user interface.
    • Mobile Apps: React Native for consistent cross-platform functionality across both Android and iOS devices.
  2. Backend:
    • Runtime Environment: Node.js
    • Framework: Express.js for handling server-side logic.
    • Database: MongoDB for flexible and scalable data management.
    • Authentication: JWT (JSON Web Tokens) for secure login and role-based access control.
  3. Integrations:
    • Payment Gateway: To be finalized based on client preferences.
    • Email Service: Integration for personalized communication with users, including follow-ups and recommendations based on lead data.
    • Analytics: Google Analytics and other tools to track user engagement and platform performance.

6. Development Methodology and Timeline

The project will follow Agile Development Methodology with two-week sprints to allow for flexibility and ongoing client feedback.

Estimated Timeline:

  1. Requirements Gathering and Planning: 2 weeks
  2. Design and Prototyping: 4 weeks
  3. Development Phase: 16 weeks (includes both the website and mobile applications)
  4. Testing and Quality Assurance: 4 weeks
  5. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): 2 weeks
  6. Deployment and Launch: 1 week

Total Estimated Duration: 29 weeks

7. Additional Considerations

  1. Branding:
    • The client will provide the color scheme and branding elements. Branding is not part of the package but will be incorporated based on client inputs.
  2. Yasmar Website:
    • The additional work on the Yasmar website will be discussed in more detail after this pre-scope validation. Yasmar will be a modern, minimal website focusing on a clean, user-friendly interface. No mobile app will be developed for Yasmar.
    • The time required for Yasmar’s revamp will be finalized once the scope is validated.
  3. Maintenance and Support:
    • Future Maintenance: Maintenance will be charged at 3,000 INR per hour. Approximation of 3 hours every 3 months for general updates, bug fixes, and AWS updates, totaling 12 hours per year.
    • Bug Fixes: Bugs and errors will be fixed free of charge for the first 90 days after deployment. Post-90 days, bug fixes will be charged as per the hourly rate.
    • Site Outages/Major Issues: In case of major outages, the time required for fixes will be estimated and communicated to the client.

The additional work on the Yasmar website will be discussed in more detail after this pre-scope validation. Yasmar will be a modern, minimal website focusing on a clean, user-friendly interface. Yasmar Website

Maintenance will be charged at 3,000 INR per hour. Approximation of 3 hours every 3 months for general updates, bug fixes, and AWS updates, totaling 12 hours per year.

Bugs and errors will be fixed free of charge for the first 90 days after deployment. Post-90 days, bug fixes will be charged as per the hourly rate.

 In case of major outages, the time required for fixes will be estimated and communicated to the client.

Maintenance and Support

The total expected quote for the project is 1,350,000 INR, which includes the development of both the primary demo car sales platform and the revamp of www.yasmark.com.

This price covers the creation of a secure, scalable web application and mobile apps (Android and iOS) for the demo car platform, as well as an updated, user-friendly website for www.yasmark.com.

Additionally, future maintenance will be charged at 3,000 INR per hour, with an approximate requirement of 3 hours every 3 months (totaling 12 hours per year) for general bug fixes, updates, and AWS upkeep.

Bug fixes will be free for the first 90 days post-deployment. For major outages or critical issues, the required time for resolution will be discussed as needed. Detailed and accurate technical tools for the application will be provided in the final scope after this pre-scope validation.
